Aima Dora is a member of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE - a global collaborative community with a mission to transform marine litter into sustainable textile solutions.
Our bespoke patterned fabrics are made from SEAQUAL YARN. This begins life as plastic waste — pulled from oceans, rivers and beaches across the world.
With collection points in countries facing severe plastic mismanagement — including Brazil, Egypt, Mexico, Tunisia and Vietnam - SEAQUAL INITIATIVE intercepts plastic waste before it breaks down into microplastics.
Once collected, it’s sorted, shredded into flakes and cleaned. It’s then turned into pellets, and finally transformed into the SEAQUAL YARN that becomes our beautiful patterned swimwear. Trash, made beautiful.

Our single-colour fabrics — including our signature Papaya-coloured lining — are made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon.
Fishing nets. Fabric scraps. Carpet flooring. Industrial plastic. Trash gathered from across the world, sorted, cleaned, and transformed.
Through a pioneering process, nylon waste is restored to its original purity — identical in quality and performance to fossil-based nylon, yet carrying an entirely different story.
ECONYL® regenerated nylon demands no new resources. No new oil extraction. No new damage.
For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® raw material produced, 70,000 barrels of crude oil are saved.
And it never truly ends. ECONYL® regenerated nylon can be recollected, regenerated, and reborn — again and again, without loss of quality or purpose.

Every stitch is sewn in our own Aima Dora atelier in the heart of Mauritius, giving us full visibility over our production process and the people behind it.
We give our offcuts a second life.
We believe nothing should go to waste. So we find creative new lives for our fabric off-cuts and remnants — from keyrings to headbands and beyond.
